can we all just agree right now that this is the worst song to get regular airplay since… forever? I mean, jesus christ. it’s horrible. and I hear it EVERYWHERE.

my reasoning:

1. pitbull

2. auto-tune

3. t-pain

4. pitbull and t-pain.

how we decide hot doc viewings

This is how our blog decides what to cover at hot docs:

[1:33 PM] ricky : what are u seeing tonite

[1:35 PM] Paul : either black power mixtape or a simple rhythm

[1:35 PM] Paul : what are you seeing

[1:36 PM] ricky : those are the two im deciding

[1:36 PM] ricky : i might see black power mix tape

[1:37 PM] Paul : hmm … i guess we should probably go to different screenings

[1:44 PM] Paul : let me know which one you’re seeing and i’ll check out the other one. they both look equally interesting to me

[1:46 PM] ricky : i think im going to black power

[1:47 PM] ricky : primarily because its a quick subway ride home after

[1:48 PM] ricky : friends are dropping by around 9:30

[1:56 PM] Paul : yeah, i was also considering that one because of it’s closeness to the subway, but the royal’s not too bad to get to either, and i guess i can browse at soundscapes beforehand too

[1:56 PM] ricky : yea

The Lions Mane Jellyfish is the largest jellyfish in the world. They have been swimming in arctic waters since before the dinosaurs (over 650 million years ago) and are among some of the oldest surviving species in the world.
The largest can come in at about 6 meters and has tentacles over 50 meters long. Pretty amazing when you think these things have been swimming around for so long.
They have hundreds of poisonous tentacles that it used to catch passing by fish. it then slowly drags in it’s prey and eats it.
That is terrifying.

probably why i shouldn’t interview people

talking to paul about his first ever interview.. (coming up on saturday)

Paul: now i just need to think up some interview questions for saturday …

Paul: i’m also toying with the idea of ending the interview by asking them standard job interview questions, because i know i won’t be able to think up too many other questions

ricky : what do you think are your biggest strengths

ricky : and weaknesses

ricky : u should ask them about the upcoming election

ricky : or abortion

Paul : abortion?

ricky : what their stance is

ricky : haha

Paul : yeah, maybe i’ll just try to be as controversial as possible
